Advisory Panelist

I am often invited to offer my expertise and lived experience to panels which can have a policy and strategy focus, or are designed to provide practical recommendations. Examples include:

Switching Focus: Whose responsibility to improve disabled people’s employment and pay?

I joined employers, academics and disabled people at two events hosted by the London School of Economics International Inequalities Institute and Joseph Rowntree Foundation. A report followed which was shared with government. It provided an innovative agenda to scale up inclusive employment practice through policies that focus on the demand side, rather than the traditional focus on the supply side – requiring or supporting disabled individuals to fit within current work practices.

Can future work be inclusive?

I was invited to contribute to an international round table event held at the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce). This was part of the RSA’s Future Work Centre designed to equip policymakers, employers and educators with the insights to prepare today’s workers for tomorrow’s workplace.
