Employment Support Collaboration with Action for Blind People and RNIB
I contribute to the employment services Action for Blind People and RNIB offer to blind and partially sighted job seekers
My motivational employment support workshops complement the existing employment support provided by RNIB and Action for Blind People. I have enjoyed a long-running relationship with them delivering workshops nationally which promote networking and personal responsibility. They are positive, focus on solutions and have been proven to make a big difference to participants at any stage of job seeking.
“I have received really positive feedback from people who attended our Leeds employment support event. I don’t know if I had the opportunity to thank you Steph, but I really am appreciative of the work you put in for me at short notice and so close to Christmas too – I couldn’t have ran the workshops without you.”
Colin Elliot National Employment Development Officer RNIB
“Can I just take a moment to give you some feedback for yesterday. I think that the employment support workshop was a brilliant opportunity for all to network and meet other people. I found everyone involved was approachable. I found the material Steph delivered very useful and thought she is an inspirational character. Thank you very much for a great day.”

Employment Support Collaboration with Pfizer
Pfizer have generously supported my employment support to disabled job seekers. Their involvement enabled me to run a number of innovative events which included:
- Professional coaching
- Mock interviews with employers representing the chosen field of participants
- Personal development workshops
- Role model speakers
The events were well attended and well received and a number of job seekers went on to find permanent employment. Zebiba sent this email after the event and went on to find work in her chosen profession:
“Hi Steph, it’s very difficult to put into words just how much I have benefited from the Jobseekers Forum in April but I have been wanting to write to let you know.
I went away from the event feeling, for the first time in my job hunting history, excited and in control about finding permanent work. The opportunity to have a mock interview with an employer and get their feedback and advice has been invaluable. More importantly the one to one coaching at the event really helped me to gain a new perspective and challenge my old fears and doubts. The continued one to one coaching after the event reinforced and maintained all the positive and motivating energy the event has inspired.
I would highly recommend the event to any blind or partially sighted job seeker who wants practical and motivating tools to help them find permanent work.”

Job Search: The Real Story
Job Search: The Real Story is a toolkit for blind and partially sighted jobseekers, facilitators and employers. The RNIB asked me to write the foreword and contribute to the content.
“Steph Cutler has ensured that our job search toolkit is jam-packed full of essential information surrounding personal image. Her well-informed, hugely creative and sensitively approached advice and guidance will allow blind and partially sighted people to make themselves as visually effective as their sighted counterparts in an undeniably visual world. The foreword that Steph wrote for the toolkit perfectly summed up what the toolkit is all about.”
