Entrepreneurship and the Disability Agenda
As part of last year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, I was invited to contribute to a round table event titled, ‘Entrepreneurship and the Disability Agenda’, hosted by Enterprise UK.
The event was designed to look at approaches to identifying gaps in the current support for disabled entrepreneurs and the need for creating and promoting tailored services.
The question posed to the key participants was: How can we effectively ensure that enterprise support is equitable and accessible?
I gave a presentation, suggesting answers to this question based on my personal and professional experiences.
Also giving presentations were the Equality and Human Rights Co
mmission and the East Midlands Development Agency. It was great to see the prominent figures in attendance focusing on this previously under-represented client group.
